Youth-Derm® Ultra Healing and Anti-Aging Aloe Cream Ingredient list

Youth_Derm Ultra Healing and Anti_Aging Aloe Cream

Our natural formulation of Youth-Derm® Ultra Healing and Anti-Aging Aloe Cream was inspired by Dr. Rodney Stockton’s original formula researched since the early 1950’s. Rodney Stockton PhD, was the first to commercialize Aloe Vera lotion to aid in the healing of sunburns. He was motivated to create his original healing ointment after getting a severe sunburn while vacationing in Florida in 1941. The original formula was under contract with the United States Government during the Cold War. It has since been a popular cream for the care of radiation burns and now much more.

New Formula Primary Ingredients:

70% Barbadensis-Miller-Stockton Specie Aloe#1® Gel – Organically Grown

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride – Fractionated coconut oil or medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil from the medium chain caprylic (8 carbons) and capric (10 carbons) acids that make up the bulk of the oil.

Glyceryl Stearate – is a waxy product made from glycerin and stearic acid.  It performs as a lubricant helping to make the skin feel soft and smooth. It forms a barrier on our skin and helps to shield from moisture loss.  It also aids in the protection from free radical damage.

Cetearyl Alcohol – is a blend of high quality cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol having great versatility for formulators looking for just the right feel.

Polyglyceryl-6 Palmitate/Succinate –  is the high Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance emulsifier that also thickens, while the glyceryl stearate is the low Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance emulsifier, so together they create an all-in-one emulsifier.

Monolaurin – is an active componant of Lauric Acid, a 12 carbon medium chain fatty acid, which effectively kills disease causing bacteria, virus and fungi. xvi

Organic Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) – a plant lipid that is used as a natural moisturizing emollient. Naturally rich in vitamins A, E & F which are vitamins beneficial for skin balance. Shea Butter penetrates deep into skin to help restore elasticity. iii

Caprylyl/Capryl Wheat Bran/Straw Glycosides – is the product obtained by the glycosylation of a blend of caprylyl and capryl alcohols with the monosaccharides derived from hydrolyzed wheat bran and hydrolyzed wheat straw.

Fusel Wheat Bran/Straw Glycosides –  is the product obtained by the glycosylation of the alcohols derived from fusel oil with the monosaccharides derived from hydrolyzed wheat bran and hydrolyzed wheat straw.  Fusel alcohols, also sometimes called fusel oils, or potato oil in Europe, are a mixture of several alcohols (chiefly amyl alcohol) produced as a by-product of alcoholic fermentation.i

Polyglyceryl-5 Oleate -is an ester of oleic acid and a glycerin polymer containing an average of 5 glycerin units. Oleic acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid found naturally in many plant sources, mainly olives. It is an omega-9 fatty acid.

Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate – is a sodium salt of  Cocoyl Glutamic Acid. It is a dispersant or surfactant that is made from coconut or palm oil and glucose.

Organic Glycerin (vegetable source) – transports water from the environment and from the lower layers of skin (dermis) to surface skin (epidermis). Glycerin softens the skin. Glycerin is a substance naturally present in skin which helps maintain the epidermis and prevent dryness or scaling.ii

Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil) – coconut oil contains lauric acid, capric acid and caprylic acid and has antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-fungal, and antibacterial properties. v

Organic Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter (Cocoa Butter) – recognized for centuries as the ultimate emollient ingredient for keeping the skin supple. It has strong antioxidant properties, which give it a long shelf life, and protects the skin by shielding it from harmful environmental factors. Cocoa butter has an ability to be absorbed deeply into the skin to hydrate and protect the skin. Cocoa butter is used frequently by pregnant women to prevent and treat stretch marks. iv

Updated information on expected shelf life when unopened (refrigerated and non), opened (refrigerated and non), please?

We recommend using it within a week to 10 days after thawing… whether opened or not. You can pour some into smaller containers to refreeze and extend the shelf life… take them out as needed.

Oh… you were referring to the cream… not the drink… whether opened or not, 2 years if kept in an air conditioned environment… refrigeration is best. Contamination from dirty fingers at the opening… can decrease the shelf life.

I see the product should be refrigerated for longer shelf life. What is the shelf life for an opened and also unopened container? I noticed the oral product is to be consumed in 2 weeks. Thanks

These formulas still are quite new, however, it seems the expected shelf life is at least three to six months if it is not refrigerated and at least a year if you do keep it refrigerated. The pump containers should never actually be “opened” and therefore they do a great job at minimizing contamination from the outside. The formula is very natural and minimally preserved, yet the shelf life is exceeding our earlier predictions.
