At Stockton Aloe 1, we do NOT decolorize nor deodorize our aloe. That is, we do not “process” it with diatomaceous earth and activated carbon, we do not filter, and we do not “standardize” our end product. Our customers get the gel that came out of the plant – nothing else.
THAT MEANS EVERY CONTAINER CAN LOOK AND TASTE DIFFERENT!
The inherent flavors of aloe include garlic, onion, and bitter. We do not add these to the gel… they are naturally occurring in the plant. Sometimes the harvest has more of these flavors than usual. We want to assure you that this is normal and that most of our customers are pleased with the benefits of the aloe regardless of the taste, even when it is a little more difficult to swallow!
Therefore, we wanted to offer a few suggestions to help with the flavor.
- Most of our customers just drink it down straight
- Some hold their noses!
- Some will add Tart Cherry Concentrate (available at aloe1.com)
- Some will add a tiny bit of stevia
- Some will put Stockton Aloe Vera gel in their smoothie’s
We even had one of our customers use aloe in a Margarita! They even made a video for us about it.
